    April 23, 2019 - Past it's prime. Ullo filtered, Let breathe in carafe about 4 hours, pretty smooth but dry. Left in carafe overnight. Next day was a lot smoother, pleasant. 3rd night had to dump. Not bad though, glad I decided to try after storing for 13 years.

    January 17, 2013 - A nice balance of meat and olives vs bright red fruit and notes of cedar. The combination provides very nice complexity. Medium to medium heavy in body, but without the kind of uber-oak that mars some. Above average finish length and depth.

    December 24, 2011 - Medium bodied and soft, this ten year old is showing its age a bit as the dark purple color is taking on a slight brownish rust color and the black berry and black cherry fruit flavors are giving way to leather and an olive tapenade tone.

    July 5, 2008 - Popped / poured. WS review is spot on. Smoky, meat, hints of green on the nose. Currant / black olive on the palate, with the same hint of green carrying here. not so much as to be a negative, rather in this amount, it gives this wine some interesting complexity. Will splash through a decanter, and let sit til dinner and revisit.
