January 28, 2019 - Citrus notes with a hint of salinity and florals. I think I'll leave my two remaining bottles for a few years yet.

December 2, 2018 - The palate theme here is limestone and lemon with excellent acidity. Subdued, nuanced and well balanced suggested a French origin but with just enough terrific fruit to make me think California. Clean, crisp with very little oak. Light body, long finish. Very good.

October 2, 2018 - Wine Dojo - Week 22 - Blind Again (Vinology, Houston, Tx): Tasted Blind

A: medium lemon with golden highlights
N: Peach (tart), leon, grapefruit, SALTED LEMON, white flowers, wet stone. Medium nose. youthful
P: Dry, high acid, medium (-) alcohol (12.5%), medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and medium (+) finish
C: Very good quality wine. Can drink now but has potential for aging

Got wet stone quickly and so thought Old world. The alcohol didn't feel high and the body was not too noticeable and so i thought this was from a cool to moderate climate. Guesses either albarino or chardonnay. Final guess was Albarino. That salt indicated coastal.

the wet stone wasn't dominant and so the New World option should have been left on the table. I got some bitterness which drove me to Albarino but it was just the tannin from a barrel that i detected. The salt was there owing to the location of Santa Cruz Mountains (its a coastal mountain range)

July 9, 2018 - A bit of straw and cedar on the nose. Intense Lemon citrus, mild minerality. Medium to slightly firm acidity got a little more intense a couple days later. Will see if I can be patient with next one to get a little more integration and complexity.

Great shellfish chardonnay. Plenty of zip to keep up with Sauv Blanc
