November 26, 2023 - Oh wow, revisiting this bottle - beautifully resolved, soft round fruit, layered complexity with translucence. Dark mossy forest floor, wet wood, savoury and rounded. Perfumey raspberry, creamy boysenberry and roses, orange peel. Lifted and complex. Drinking very well now, nicely resolved.

April 15, 2022 - (Ginkakuji Onishi Kyoto Wagyu - oyster blade and ribeye) Lifted aromatic dark florals, sweet leather, wood spice, hint of smoke and umami mulch. Bright acidity, elegant balance with some concentration. Old-world-ish, clean, youthful with some signs of development. Finishing long, minty, soft and refined, yet beautifully structured. Paired sufficiently well with the wagyu, perhaps just a tad too perfumey, but the acid balances the fats perfectly.

April 21, 2020 - Mellow texture with honeysuckle and flora to the nose. Some mineral present with the finish. Medium low acidity and tannis. So easy and enjoyable to drink. Love it!

May 15, 2019 - A superb pinot attracts my highest score to date.

Immense quality, light to medium colour, light bodied.
Slight yeast on the nose, on the tongue a beautiful balance, light tannin, light acid , medium fruit .
The trouble is with a wine like this you can drink too much.
It just goes down smoothly and beckons for the next glass .

There is not an offensive bone in this wines body.

Sells for around the $60.00AU mark and will probably survive for another 5 years unless of course you have drunk the lot of your stash which is highly probable.

    July 2020.

    What can I say.
This wine is just one beautiful Pinot Noir.
Magnificent balance not an off bone in it's body.
I left it in the carafe for longer than I wanted to and came back to it after 3 days .
    It was unbelievable.
The nose showed nothing but a light sea breeze of ocean .
Has to be the best Pinot Noir I have tasted in 50 years.

    September 2021
    gave it an extra point.
    this wine jsut floors me
worth every penny of $100.00 so at $60.00 it's a steal.
