July 8, 2023 - A beautiful white wine that was consumed with some really high class offerings at a wine dinner. This more than held it’s own. Shockingly, it had more characteristics of white burgundy than of CA because of the restrained nature of this versus other more traditional CA Chardonnay in terms of oak, butter, and vanilla flavors. This was my only white purchase ever from Kosta while on their list for seven years. Should have purchased more. Everyone loved it!!
February 19, 2022 - Opened and poured. Very lively and acidic, with citrus dominated notes. Bright and focused, excellent balance with a hint of sweetness. Quite lovely.
February 11, 2022 - Bright crisp with citrus and lemon notes. Just a touch of oak which made this a perfect pairing with scallops.
December 21, 2021 - in a great place right now.
October 28, 2021 - Much better than a bottle last month. Carries a nice balance of fullness (CA) and classiness (Chablis). Loads of fruit, great mouthfeel.
October 11, 2021 - Not the best bottle/vintage of this wine I've had. This was full and unctuous but definitely disjointed. I don't believe its an age issue as we've had other vintages of this wine at 6+ years and have enjoyed it.
March 12, 2021 - Popped and poured from the fridge. Substantial golden yellow color. Long legs in the glass. Lemon, mineral nose. A bit too cold initially. After a little warm up, a bit more balanced and open. Good fruit - citrus based. Light oak. Medium plus alcohol. Substantial mineral. A bit tart with acid. Long finish. Range of 90-91 pts.
