January 10, 2024 - Opened for 10 hours then decanted before drinking & it was still acidic, lovely rich nose with substantial depth & complexity, this still needed 5 more years

November 9, 2023 - Decanted for an hour. Acidic, with rustic tannins. Was expecting a more elegant finish. Not an optimal drinking time. Either I missed the window or it needs a lot more time. If you do decide to open and see where’s it at I recommend with pasta or truffle cheese to cut it. Overall love Conti but will save opening up these bottles for another few years.

August 5, 2023 - PnP; light, pleasing and well-balanced with slight amaretto, Asian spice and cherry inferences throughout; no appreciable finish to speak of though.

January 1, 2023 - A little subdued, on opening I thought this was corked. After a few hours, this got going and showed a glimpse of the fine, crystalline blackcurrant and leather Costanti style. Thoroughly delicious but overall a bit reclusive, particularly on the nose, which makes me wonder whether it’s entered a dumb phase. Not showing any signs of maturity like the last bottle but relatively soft. Maybe an odd bottle?

July 3, 2022 - Day 1: 2-3 hours since open, I agree with others that this is somewhat lacking mid-palate. The nose (tobacco, plum, spice) is great though.

Day 3: holding strong. The nose really drives the enjoyment here (eucalyptus, florals). Still lacking mid-palate, though.

    June 7, 2022 - Wish I didn't buy a case of this stuff.
Seems to have promise with chocolate, cherry, leather notes but just comes across the middle thin and tart. Would put this at about a $12-$15 wine if I didn't know.

April 24, 2022 - Medium ruby with a touch of brown typical for a Brunello. Full bodied but energetic, concentrated dried red fruit, herbs, orange rind, leather, spice. Still youthful with grippy tannins but enjoyable now with lots more upside and a long life ahead of it. I've enjoyed two different vintages so far from this producer. 14% abv.
