August 2, 2019 - Deep cranberry red color with persistent delicate bead. Nose some yeast, red berries. Palate rocky and chalky, strongly mineral; prominent red berries; hint of yeasty richness. A classy and structured rose, very nice to drink now and great with rich Spanish cuisine.

July 14, 2018 - Utterly delicious, this wine has become my crack. Smoky goodness. Easily wine of the day against some solid challengers.

July 3, 2018 - This was excellent again, showing its full depth on day 1. A strongly smoky, gamey character. A bit like a sparkling Gevrey-Chambertin, with great freshness and balance. Really striking and one of my favorite rose Champagnes ever.

June 10, 2018 - First bottle of two, picked up from Envoyer. Figured with the vintage and pricing was worth a look. 100% Pinot Meunier, 8 g/l dosage, farmed biologique. No data on disgorgement. This is the most ruby colored Rose I can recall tasting. Quite dark, not the salmon or peach colored Roses that seem more common. A unique wine in flavor too. At first, zesty and lively, than add to that a pastry quality, then some tart, bold strawberry that renders it a bit rich. Overall, well received by the table. I enjoyed this and would buy this producer again.

March 23, 2018 - 100% meunier. This was OK. Good fresh fruit, a bit of depth from the vintage, but like many roses it was quite simple. I spiked it with a splash of the Marchand-Tawse GC Sans Soufre which added some nice depth :-)
Day 2: Oh my! This has really taken off. It now shows bone dry blood orange fruit and a striking smoky, spicy character with some pleasing bitterness on the backend. Reminds of the Ulysse Collin rose made from Maillons, definitely in the red Burgundy with bubbles camp. I am looking for more.
