June 22, 2019 - light yellow at the eye, it shows typical burgundy notes at the nose with a nice minerality and clear hints of vanilla in the background. Very pleasant and ejoyable although being the entry-level wine at Paul Pillot...In a hot and dark evening at Chiavari with no crosses and blades ahead

March 11, 2019 - one year after or so, finally improved. Pleasant entry-level chardonnay from Paul Pillot. with citrus notes and some enticing minerality on the back. Almond driven aftertaste. Bourgogne at the palate at a stunning price point.

July 6, 2018 - less complex than I remember 2013 vintage one year ago, maybe too young still. Nice acidity but poor citrus and almond, hints of which grow with the rising temperature. Will open the next in a year or so to see if it improves... PD shares a day before double5

April 17, 2018 - Really interesting contrast to the Confuron - this was earthy, with a maddeningly hard to pin down comestible aroma. You know how you can sometimes smell a vegetable dish and wonder if it's fantastic or slightly "off" and then, gloriously, it's fantastic? No? That's only me? Then this note is just for me. Maybe it's got a touch of durian to it.

September 15, 2017 - Medium yellow. Reduced aromatics. Behind this, rich but not overly ripe, adequate acidity, oak, some minerality. If the reduction fades, it should be a good mouthful at this level.
