March 29, 2019 - Surprisingly good for the price point. Medium (+) ruby with just a hint of garnet on the rim. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with ripe black fruit, a hint of tobacco and a nice overlay of sweet baking spices. The palate is dry, but fruit forward, with medium acidity, medium tannins and medium (+) alcohol (13.5%). It has medium intensity and length, with nice balance and a pleasant phenolic finish. Really good QPR. Drink now through at least 2020, it is not intended for long-term aging.
