May 13, 2018 - Deep purplish ruby red. Dark nose with anise, graphite, cinnamon, dark gravel, black raspberries, plums, floral notes and some earthiness. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Lush palate with dark berries, cinnamon, black cherries, and dark gravel. Long and lingering finish. Still a baby. Would like to check in on this in a couple years. Drink till 2037. (93+)

Rich classic napa cab with touches of gunpowder and stone in the finish. Some bite in the finish

January 20, 2018 - Third blind red for my father’s 53rd birthday. We tried four 2014s, two were Cabernet Sauvignons and two were Bordeaux Blends.

Purplish ruby red. Layered nose with anise, cinnamon, earthiness, black fruits and even a little plums. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Well rounded with a nice amount of complexity on the palate. Notes of black fruits, solid backbone, cinnamon, vanilla and dark rocks. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2030. (93+)

October 3, 2017 - Dark cherry with ruby rim; nose of dust, cassis compote, menthol and muddy earth; palate follows nose with lots of heat and fruit; still very tight; sour notes; definitely not worth the price

August 12, 2017 - Sixth blind wine for this weekend's tasting.

Deep ruby red with deep garnet edges. A touch dirty in the attack on the nose with some dark berries, and layered sweet spices. Heavy tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Dark fruit profile on the palate with black and blue fruits. Lots of sweet and dark spices as well. Dark gravel undertones and a touch dry in the long finish. Still a baby and needs some more bottle age. Drink from 2018 till 2030. (93+)

August 12, 2017 - Blind Tasting: Nose says Napa but not floor. Red bright fruit.

Cherry and heavy powerful tannins with a moderately long finish - not too fruity.

May 15, 2017 - Nice visit to Flora Springs for tasting and tours. Purchased their PNV lot last year.

Dark ruby/purple color. Nose was dark fruits, truffles, licorice. Palate showed dark berries, blue fruits, plums, minerals/stone and vanilla. Long finish. Chewy tannins suggesting a few years to settle will add depth on the mid palate. A lot going on with this wine, great fruit and well made. Approachable now but will be much better (IMO) with 3+ years in bottle, should go a while post that

February 4, 2017 - Super dark purplish ruby red. Dark nose with dark cocoa, dark cinnamon, nutmeg, black and blue berries with some air. Thick and plush on the palate. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10), and full bodied. Lots of depth in the palate with dark cocoa, dark berries and a bit of twigs. Great structure and backbone. Rounded out on day two. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2034.
