April 26, 2024 - Past its prime. The fruit is raisin jam. Medium acid and medium minus tannin. Not unpleasant, but no longer a food wine. Drink to appreciate the complexity developed with age. I should know better than to age a Napa Valley wine longer than 10 years. What a shame, and I enjoyed this wine so much on release!
July 9, 2023 - Was concerned it might be too old but beautiful nose , delicious on the mouth and a smooth velvety finish. Still have one more in my cellar. Highest score i have given in quite a while.
June 20, 2023 - A great wine that paired well with a bacon cheese burger. Never had a bad wine from this winery.
December 28, 2020 - Gorgeous nose, dense and silky with smooth tannins. No rush to drink.
May 17, 2020 - Came across as over ripe, imbalanced and hot. Not too young but time is unlikely to improve it. Auction bottle, no obvious flaw. If rating, 86.
November 9, 2019 - Benefited from opening 3-4 hours before pouring...best showing of three bottles consumed thus far...youthful and silky with dark fruit, floral notes and spice...integrated tannins and a smooth, 30+ seconds finish.
October 12, 2019 - Mountain fruit holds up well. Ten years old and tasting quite nice without too much tannin, but conversely, without too much fruit either. Bit astringent, not much middle flavor, almost immediately goes from tip of the tongue to the back of throat. Wish I had opened it up a few years earlier, but still nice. No points.
September 29, 2019 - Very nice Cab Franc from a magnum acquired direct from Pride on release. Too many folks to get tasting notes but this wine has matured beautifully.
