July 4, 2023 - Beautiful deep ruby red, purple hues, thick legs, smoky cherry aromas with earthy notes. Soft on the palate with robust cherry flavors, toasty rustic hints develop midpalate, firm structured tannins balances well with clove spice hints in a long finish.

March 22, 2022 - Nice wine. Violets and vanilla on the nose. Smooth tannins. Medium finish. Solid Napa Cabernet. A little pricey but drinking well now.

December 13, 2021 - Typical cali cab. But quite well balanced, restrained strawberries and red fruit with soft tannins.

March 19, 2021 - This didn't meet expectations at all. Quite a cold, hard, almost dead profile, the fruit was absent. Maybe it's a bit more of a Bordeaux style, though I love Bordeaux, but not this. Feels like poor winemaking really. I generally like the '14 Napa vintage too.

November 11, 2020 - Nice wine but didn't live up to the 13, 15 or 16. Didn't get a lot of what I'd consider the stags leap distinction.

July 25, 2018 - The all stags leap property. Straight cab. Very violety and fresh. And then has Cabernets tannins.

November 25, 2017 - Dark, juicy, sweet, fleshy fruits, with an earthy, smoke filled, licorice and blackberry character. Medium/full bodied, with round textures and a sweet, fruit filled finish is found here.

October 30, 2017 - IMW - Cab / Cab Franc Walk-Around Tasting 2018 (mostly 2014 vintage) (Hyatt, San Francisco): A bit of coin polish. Fruit seems dilute and a bit dirty ripeness. Tart finish. Almost seems acidified.

October 30, 2017 - MW 2017 CABERNET FROM THE AMERICAS TASTING-WILDFIRE RELIEF FUNDRAISER, nose of heat, dark fruit, black berry, and minerals, same on the palate, lots of slightly harsh tannins here, needs 5 years to soften.
