April 22, 2022 - Drinking well now. Enjoys at least a 45 minute decant - otherwise is closed and short finish. Opened up with nice nose of dark fruit. Some tobacco on medium length finish.

November 12, 2021 - Drank over a few nights. Last bottle out of 3. Overall it's in a better place than previously scored. Dugydog is right, taste does not live up to the nose, and drinking below its pay grade. I wonder if time will do this more justice.

May 21, 2020 - Good potential but drinking below its pay grade tonight. Nose great — some dusty notes of old school Napa floor cabs. Taste does not live up to the potential suggested by the nose — it’s good but not great. Might be too young; too tight; too something. Hoping it continues to evolve

September 14, 2019 - Had a dinner where we compared 7 fairly high priced california cabs on one bargain. All from 2014 and one 2013 and one 2015. Anomaly 2014, Cliff Lede Scarlet love 2014, Vineyard 29 Aida estate 2014, dakota shy 2015, Fairchild Stones 2 2014, Checkerboard aurora 2013, Pirate Treasure Red 2014. We drank the wines blind in two 4 pour flights. We choose our top two per flight then tasted the 2 from each flight in a final 4 flight. Interestingly enough in a unanimous decision our 2 most expensive wines finished 1 and 2 with the group of 4 who tasted. First time most expensive wines in our evening won the night so to speak.

Anomaly didn't make the final Flight but was delicious as were all the wines.

August 10, 2019 - Could still use a couple years of bottle aging. Required about 1.5 hours of exposure to integrate the tannins, but unnderlying, this is a good Napa Cab. Dark cherry fruits and earthy notes. Nice long finish. Have been drinking a lot of Napa Cabs lately and I find 2014's not as big and juicy as 2015 and certainly 2016. This one no different. Still a solid offering from Anomaly. This was a 375 ml bottle. I'm still unsure whether the smaller bottles age differently from the standard 750 ml
