December 24, 2023 - Attractive wine with good fruit and nice balance. Light in weight and elegant.

October 17, 2023 - Sangiovese or Nebbiolo theme dinner at Solo. Tasted blind. Drank in Spiegelau Definition Bordeaux. Got better and better with more air.
Appearance is clar, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of earth, stone dust, ripe red cherries, ripe strawberries, bit of licorice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), very high tannins, full body. Medium+ flaovur intensity, with flavours of ripe strawberries, ripe red cherries, licorice. Long finish. Dark fruits and inner florality lurking within, waiting to flesh out with more air, or just age and patience required.
Very good quality. Still a good few years more before convincingly entering a drinking window I would say. Another one of those 2013 BaBas that just needs more time.

February 1, 2023 - La Festa del Barolo: A Taste of Verduno (Locanda Verde): Darker fruits, a bit of spice, some hand soap in the style although it does fade with time in the glass. Darker flowers and darker fruits with a nice prettiness in style.

September 23, 2022 - PnP. Beaucoup de cerise rouge, très long et élancée. Quand même très acide, meilleur avec le repas.

January 24, 2022 - Day 1 the nose was fantastic upon PnP with classic Nebbiolo Tar & Roses, sweet hard candy and over time an olive tapenade note. The pallet was shut down and a little tart so left half the bottle. Day 2 the nose erupted from the glass with sweet lifted florals and a nice dark fruit note underneath. Pallet is much more fleshed out now and some of the tartness is gone. Great to check in on this - needs a lot of time but such great potential
