December 2, 2023 - Had a glass at Eslite Wine Cellar Egon Muller gala dinner.
The nose is a little simple, but the crystalline and mineral palate make the wine stand out. -

July 29, 2023 - This was my first time trying Egon Müller. While I enjoyed the wine, it didn't 'WOW' me like a wine of this caliber (and price tag) should have. I found it quite sweet, and lacking a bit in acidity (both upon opening and after a few hours in bottle). There was enough acidity to balance the sugar, but just not the level of tension that I would have hoped for. The wine showed some development (already) with notes of apricot; not sure if that is normal for a wine this age.

April 25, 2021 - Opened at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. P&P.
Beautiful bottle of Spatlese - the sweetness is nuanced but is balanced very nicely by a strong backbone of acidity and minerality.
Will improve with age - give this another 5 years+ and it will probably score higher.
