July 9, 2010 - This wine needed a significant amount of time to open up and soften. It eventually paired fine with our red-sauced pasta dish.

November 14, 2009 - Same as last bottle. OK fruit, but maybe a bit too tannic and not enough acidity to be "bright". Not bad for the discount price we paid (older vintage by the case).

October 4, 2009 - This wine evolved during the course of the day. Had a glass at lunchtime, and the taste seemed a bit muted and short-lived. Finished the bottle at dinner and was surprised by how nicely this wine had opened. Nice dark fruit had emerged with a smooth subtle oak accent. The finish had become long-lasting and the overall profile resembled a classic Italian style Sangiovese.
