March 12, 2023 - As part of a pairing dinner at 110 de Taillevent in London. Actually I substituted this wine in because it is a favorite and I haven’t tried this vintage. Lovely lovely wine. Sad it is always so overpriced these days because a) I can’t afford to buy much and b) it seems to make people hate on it and only focus on the price and the late winemaker’s circumstances rather than the wine.
This vintage could use some more time for my palate but very pleasurable and primary now. Some farmyard funk on the nose, black pepper and plummy fruit on the palate. Emerging compexity. -

February 27, 2023 - Not as good as I remember other vintages and may have had some VA as it did seem a little off with a tart/sour note. As the price has gone parabolic in the last few years, there is definitely little room for error in terms of QPR here.
