  December 3, 2023 - Sometimes it has to be just Chardonnay ! 2015 Chassagne Montrachet En Virondot 1er Cru from Domaine Marc Morey & Fils. Light golden color with a rich nose of white fruits like peach, mirabelle, citrus and tangerine. Fruit at its best ! The mouth is smooth with long playing aromes on the tongue. A little acidity supports this great wine and the finish is like salty caramel. Marvellous ! Love it very much and I gladly think of my visit and the magic cellar from Marc Morey. In my opinion his wines are outstanding in Burgundy. Neverthless the whole Morey family does a great Job !

  December 24, 2022 - Wonderful wine; mineral and precise; subtle citrus, hazelnut, brioche. White Burdundy at its best and drinking very well now

  November 14, 2021 - Double decant before carrying to friend’s home. Clean and crispy nose. A bit weak, but still display balance white flower and acidity. Not complex. I think I will PnP next time as it has displayed some power and full body texture when I uncorked this one

  July 3, 2021 - Lukket med en gang, men åpner seg med litt tid i glasset. Godt moden frukt med litt nedfallspreg. Tropisk/moden frukt også i munn. Nokså bra friskhet her, men blir litt atypisk.

  July 3, 2021 - From a half-bottle. Nice medium pale yellow straw colour. On the nose, aromas of nuts, flowers, citrus and minerals. On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity (pear and citrus), floral and mineral. Very slight buttered popcorn. A good length on tensile minerals. With air, orange and liquorice hints make an appearance. This is very good. I've mostly avoided the 2015 Côte de Beaune whites, but this and Marc Colin Montceau demonstrate that the vintage could be very good with proper care. For me this is ready today from a half-bottle, can be kept a few more years, but not sure I see the point to cellaring any longer. I'd drink this by 2024 or so. 92
