July 28, 2023 - Just gorgeous from the moment the bottle is opened. Intense smells and flavors of lemon, salty minerals, fresh bread, and flowers, with roasted bell peppers and underripe white peaches in the extremely long and powerful aftertaste. This still seems to be a very young wine--it will certainly remain wonderful, and might well improve, with more time in the cellar. This would, by the way, be amazing with simple grilled swordfish. [Tasted over more than an hour from the Jancis Robinson glass, the Conterno glass, and the old Dany Rolland Cristal d'Arques Oenologue glass, with only meaningless differences.]

February 10, 2023 - I gave it 45 minutes of air prior to drinking.
Pale straw color; a slight touch of citrus on the nose.
This one has balanced out beautifully. There’s a bit of a minerality still present, but its earlier tartness has faded, and there’s a touch of residual sugar that balances things out. Delicious tropical fruit and a touch of baked bread. I agree with TGOT that it is almost Burgundian in character.
I have been drinking every vintage of this wine since 2008, and I always squirrel a few bottles of each vintage away to see how they held up. I’m happy to report that it ages beautifully and I’m holding onto my last bottle of the 2008 to see where things stand in another year or two. I look forward to reporting back on my findings.1 person found this helpful Comment -

May 29, 2022 - Wasn’t sure what to expect when popping the cork on this bottle. After all, didn’t view this as a wine to be drunk with any age. Boy, was I enlightened. This wine had evolved from the refreshing light white I had when I drank my other bottles, to a round, full bodied beauty that was almost Burgundian somehow. It had lost all of its “edge” or tartness from youth. Wish I had more to figure out if this was just a one time thing or something more common.
