Community Tasting Notes 5

June 3, 2022 - A reliable producer of Salice Salentino, transluscent almost colour, a bit more spicy than the usual SS but very drinkable and a good weekday wine, have had several vintages of this over the years and never had a bad one, VFM

November 7, 2018 - Medium garnet color and fairly transparent. Spiced cinnamon and cloves on red fruits on the nose. The tasting notes aren’t far off; this is a rather Christmas-y wine with elements of cranberry, tea leaves, and maybe a bit of plumskin. Delicious, especially in the tannic finish.

March 24, 2018 - Tre bicchieri in the Gambero Rosso 2017. Fresh and juicy, plummy and velvety, Mediterranean herbs and spices (reminiscent of red vermouth), medium body (13.5% ABV), warm and relaxed, ripe red cherries, slightly stemmy phenolics provide grip; lively finish, spicy and plummy, good length. At Pizza Studio Takami, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

March 9, 2018 - Fantastic value and extremely tasty stuff. Reliable everyday choice year after year.

October 15, 2017 - The wine looks rosy colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and bell pepper. It tastes like blackberry, light toast, artichoke and bell pepper. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
