Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Quiet Lion Likes this wine: 92 points

April 16, 2023 - Pop and pour. This has mellowed and is a bit restrained at the moment with a lovely blend of delicious fruits and moderate acid. Tannins are supple. Perhaps needs air at this stage or more time, or perhaps it was simply better young.

May 26, 2022 - Almost onyx in color. Medley of dark fruits with earth floor and wet stone. Bright, big fruits and subtle underlying flavors being masked by the alcohol levels. We would give this wine more time.

    p.s. leftovers

May 1, 2022 - We are right in the CT crowd with 94... smooth and full of flavor, a real treat after an hour in decanter.

  • mdvillaverde Likes this wine: 93 points

December 18, 2020 - Agree with everything in Quiet Lion's note below. I'd add that this vintage has a midly drying finish, which i have not noted in other Booker Tempranillos.

  • Jcpwine Likes this wine: 93 points

August 20, 2020 - This is a pretty big, fruity forward wine (mostly dark red fruits with a very noticeable raspberry appeal). Medium body and what seemed like good length. Unfortunately, further notes lost in the entertaining done at the time. Will have to come back to in a year or two.
