August 30, 2021 - Still on the primary side, this has a cool climate feel with lots of herby black cherry that is seamless with medium body. Better in 3+ years.

May 1, 2020 - Perfectly balanced, low abv. Really like this cool climate Pinot from Santa Cruz. Very fresh strawberry, cherry, black raspberry. Lightly salted ocean rocks. Could drink this every week.

April 14, 2019 - Mostly a repeat of my note from 11/6/18. This time I noticed more minerality/water flowing over granite sensations. Low alc, totally balanced. There’s actually a bit more sweetish fruit than one would expect, in addition to all the herbal qualities. I’ll try to hold onto my last bottle for a few years.

November 6, 2018 - Good stuff here! Wild herbs leading the way - mint, sagebrush, high alpine forest floor. Cherries, underripe blueberry and strawberry, citrus. As it opens up, red fruit, red apple and pomegranate take the forefront. Tannin and acid frame this complex structure, but don’t get in the way of drinkability today. There’s a tension here. Low alc, loving the complexity.

June 19, 2018 - With the salty minerality of Santa Cruz fruit. Really quite salty actually. Not hard edged, just bitter saltiness in a good way.

April 3, 2018 - The '15 Saveria has really come into it's own. Here I found a remarkably pretty expression of ripe strawberry and cherry mixed with soil, vine and floral tones as hints of exotic spices, white pepper and sweet herbs came forward. On the palate, I found a fresh and zesty expression with acids forward yet pleasingly so as strawberry gave way to a zing of spice and saline-minerals. The finish was long with ripe red fruits, spice and pretty inner floral tones. This is beautiful on it's own but excels with food where it's acid and minerals do wonders to please and cleanse the palate.

March 18, 2018 - The post below is apt for us. In addition: pepper, black tea, restraint, balance, lovely acidity. A very fine wine, consumed too young.

August 12, 2017 - The nose was rich with crushed red fruits, rosy florals, chalk dust and hints of spice. On the palate, I found juicy textures with zesty red berry fruits, saline minerality and inner floral tones. It finished long on red fruits, minerals and inner florals.

April 18, 2017 - Pretty close to the coast, 20% whole cluster, four miles inland. Smells super pretty and raspberry, lean on the palate but with freshness, and that initial smell or ripe fruit lingers on. Expensive at $60.
