May 24, 2023 - A mature, clean bottle. I agree with other tasters. This is beautifully balanced and mature now.
April 12, 2023 - This really blossoms after a couple of days open. Antique mahogany and a deep golden color with huge loads of very ripe apricots, condensed honey, wildflower fields, fresh jasmine, authentic French Crème Brûlée, nutmeg and burnt butter. A surprising level of spiced rum and the tropical fruitiness of well aged Muscat and Riesling - highly botrytized characteristic. My last of the six (750ml) bottles... it has been a very good experience.
June 6, 2022 - Copperbrown, overwhelming aromas of raisins, still remarkable acidity, drink now
October 7, 2021 - Very good condition, brownish color, nose of toffee and caramel. The palate is sweet but quite linear. Past it's prime but still enjoyable.
December 30, 2015 - Fairly complex nose but short finish.
December 21, 2015 - Rich, less sweet, very dark gold in color. Nice with Christmas fruit cake and brioche bread pudding.
September 28, 2015 - Drinks well. Great nose, great balance, but not very complex.
May 17, 2015 - Wow what length. Really gets the back of the mouth watering. Meyer lemon, candied pineapple, exotic spice. Sweet & acid in perfect balance. Waves of flavors throughout. Long and rewarding finish that doesn't quit. A glass could last for hours.
November 26, 2013 - Drank at BBR
1990 really is a lovely vintage for Sauterne and they are drinking so well at the moment. Rich complex with a great length. Classic.
September 28, 2013 - Golden in colour, lively and glowing. Zesty orange marmalade, sweet spices and honey on the nose, impressive. Very sweet, smooth and a touch spicy on the palate, pretty big and slightly heavy, could be a little bit fresher. Long and powerful, quite complex and round. Drinking nicely now but no rush in my view.
