  August 7, 2022 - Amazing merlot, so seductive and smooth with chocolate dark cherry flavors dominate. No reason to wait any longer but will hold for longer.

  June 24, 2022 - Absolutely amazing wine. Creamy cherry chocolate with nice secondary spice. Nice drinking window. Was in top three out of 8 blind tasted Merlot's and Sangioveses. All 8 were terrific, but the top 3 Merlots stood out: 2016 Three Palms Duckhorn, 2004 Petrolo Galatrona, & the Hourglass.

  January 2, 2021 - Hooked up to nitro canister and decanted half the bottle. 3 hrs later there’s deep purple coloring and the wine holds firmly to the bowl.
  
  While I don’t get a lot off of the nose, this is a great expression of the varietal, punctuated by blue fruit and oak. As we finish what was decanted and get into the balance of the bottle, the fruit and Wood are far more prominent, and there’s a hint of funk on the nose that quickly blows off.
  
  The 2-3 glasses that carried into Day 2 were excellent. All the components have integrated well and the wine is a bit softer. Better and possibly now a 94. This is up there with the best Cali Merlots.
