    December 23, 2023 - Was a bit closed in the beginning - but after decanting the wine opend up quilte nicely - we liked the wine - the fruit is cherries - plums -blackberries - also some menthol. The wine is still medium + on tannins but well integrated - this is a Nice Wine that deserves solid 93.

    October 27, 2023 - Signature tar notes along with red berry fruit of raspberry. Rose water, earth and leather. With time adding more complexity: tea, dried herbs, crushed pepper and even cinnamon. Fresh acidity, grainy tannin but in great balance and with presence from attack to finish. A versatile, promising Barolo. 93+

    January 26, 2023 - An enjoyable Barolo. Classic flavors of dried red cherry, tar, tobacco, mushroom, violet. No decant and took 3 hours to open.

    September 25, 2021 - Not quite ready. Decant 8 hours to get the leather and licorice. Good with pizza or cheese.

    August 30, 2021 - 4 hour decant. Bright red fruit on a somewhat muted nose. Still fairly tannic with a good mouthfeel and decent finish. Cherry, leather and spice. Had the definite feeling that this was too young as it seemed to lack the complexity I expected. A really nice barolo and maybe with more time it will justify the high critics scores but it's not at that point right now. 93+

    August 15, 2021 - Still very young but still quite nice. Great aromas. But I would wait 3-4 years before drinking it.

    March 26, 2021 - Seuls au bar de l’hôtel Calissano à Alba (seuls dans l’hôtel en fait...). Après quelques heures d’aération, le vin, de couleur sombre se révèle un peu avec un nez floral, épicé, typé Barolo, presque Serralunga, fruits noirs, cassis, rose, les tannins sont encore très présents dans ce vin puissant et robuste, conçu pour la garde. Laissez cette bouteille à la cave. Très très prometteur.

    August 16, 2020 - Double-decanted for aeration, served 7 hours later. Some lovely winegrowing, and winemaking here. All the pieces are here, but for my palate, the best is yet to come. HOLD for another five years. highly recommended
