October 15, 2021 - Milk chocolate, dark cherries, raisin. Very full aroma. Palate has similar flavor with grainy tannins and healthy acid. The acid should outlive the fruit. Another bottle, will try in a few years. Not that exciting but very good overall.

    May 31, 2021 - An excellent wine.
In memory of LCDR Larry “Mike” Jordan, a fellow U.S. Navy serviceman during the Vietnam War. Mike was returning to the USS Kitty Hawk from the Philippines when his aircraft, a KA3B aerial tanker, was purportedly shot down on April 12, 1966. His name is listed on The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, PANEL 6E LINE 106.

January 2, 2021 - Over-fruited, with jamminess that is too sweet and cloying, even after 15 years. Only saving grace is a mellow finish that isn't too flabby.

December 20, 2020 - Parkerized wine 101. This was just an overkill. A Shiraz coming from the big 2005 vintage and coming in with warm, sweet, almost stewed black fruit, oak spice and sweet tobacco. Palate is broad with tannins quite soft at this stage. Acidity is still there, but acts more as a support and not a life-saver. I have a feeling I’m drowning in this wine while drinking it. Just over the top.

November 26, 2020 - Still drinking well. Certainly new world but not an overly extracted Aussie wine.
