November 17, 2023 - Capital grill locker pull. Blackberries dark chocolate and morello cherry. The oak is well integrated and this wine sings like 1985 Whitney Houston. More complex than Ric Flair giving a speech on THC. Some Pepper here and there but overall just lovely fruit. PnP with constant evolution over two hours. Shame I only have 3 left.

March 2, 2022 - Spectacular. Deep and complex still going 4+ hours later. Great thought provoking evolution throughout the night. This is one of the wines you search for.

November 13, 2021 - Splash double decant, followed by 30 min in glass before drinking. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Blackberry, black cherry, sage, pumpkin seed, orange zest, and subtle graphite on the beautifully complex nose. Smooth, dry palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

Had this with Mark1NPT at one of the best steakhouses in Naples, FL. Longer decant may have brought the score up an additional point or two. Awesome steak wine. It’s my understanding that this is Araujo’s newish project.

November 13, 2021 - 8 months ago I gave this a 95 with a little green vegetal note. No such thing now. Double splash decanted then given about 1 hour of air in the decanter then enjoyed tableside at Chops with Jaime/Melissa and Carol. Gets more awesome with the passage of time over 3 hours with dinner and a dry aged ribeye. Initially, quite red in the glass, thinner but classier in the mouth, it evolves into this dark fruited, medium weighted beauty with a sage component. It really comes together and easily scores higher than my last bottle.

May 31, 2021 - Well done Napa Cab with a bit more jammy flavors than I would like but the structure and silky texture are quite refined and the wine is not overdone but rather showing the earthy terroir of Napa quite well. The finish is intense and taut and quite satisfying with a grippy, black/blue-fruited complexity and chalky minerals. I like it now but it may age well off its excellent balance.
