January 29, 2019 - Decanted 1 hr ahead and sampled over the next 2 hrs. Very nice nose of dried herbs and cherries. On the palate, darker fruits and earth tones join in a medium-light body. The acid balance is soft and round, holding this wine back. Finishes with light grip and some tannins. Maybe the problem is the grape variety. Grenache can be low-acid and I think that’s what we have here.
