September 30, 2013 - Brown red color withy murky clarity. Cherry, berry aroma with dark cherry, licorice and smoky flavor. Round and smooth, time to drink.

May 27, 2013 - Drank this pretty far outside the community suggested drink by date and still a super wine. I'm a fan of Peju, this wine was peppery on the nose and notes of plum and vanilla like the last review notes. That review was 2010, 3 years later its well come into its own and is well worth the $33 price point. I wish I had another bottle!

July 19, 2010 - Smooth, smoky, spicy. Antithesis of an Aussie Shiraz. Drink now.

January 4, 2008 - Decanted into a wide bottom decanter and consumed over 2.5 hours. Dark purple with a crimson rim. Plum, dark berries, vanilla and a bit of raisin and some pepper on the nose. Noticeable alcohol, which dissipated with time, but never quite went away. Ripe blackberry and black cherry, smoke, vanilla and some oak on the palate. Medium acidity, finishing with some moderate to firm tannins. While this is solid, I don't think its a great value for the price ($32 from the winery). I have had some Aussie's in the $15 range that are just as good for half the price (e.g. Killibinbin, Langmeil).

    1/2 bottle saved for tomorrow.
