July 19, 2017 - Some earthiness, touch of old wood on the nose, and dark fruit, carbonic, native yeast, then fermented and aged in cement. So that note about old wood on the nose is wrong. Its just the carignan showing off. Palate is fresh and mineral and really quite tasty. Working towards organic. Tasty at $15 or so. The estate's forte is supposedly carignan which drives their passion and their work. The son designed the label. The name means "the wine of the little child of the little child hippolyte" or something like that. A playful wine.
