December 11, 2022 - All tertiairy but lively, like a Spatburgunder without fruit. Lasted about 45m in the decanter before it started to collapse. Very classy

February 15, 2021 - What a showing!!! Absolutely delicious, elegant, detailed and sweet aromas of hickory smoke, autumn wood, incense, leather, bacon fat and vintage leather come through with the usual sous bois shadings coupled with a whiff of caramel/coffee. Supple with fine tannins, showing a citrus lift to the flavors. Very Chambolle in structure as the palate is rich yet incredibly delicate. This showed like a Grand Cru at the tasting. Everything you love about ‘71 and Chambolle at the same time. A rare treat.

June 8, 2020 - Much more ethereal and resolved than the '89 Mazis, with beautiful Chambolle, delicate delivery of damp soil, sous bois, antique furniture scents, hickory smoke, delicate game notes and truffle that show more clarity with just a bit of air time in the glass; supremely graceful palate with soft, sweet/savory flavors that have made it through the harder more structured period. The tannins have completely resolved; no hard edges, just elegant woodland, autumnal, soft and supple Chambolle flavors to the front and center! Glorious elegance!!!
