September 3, 2023 - Another bottle. Dark inky colour. Blueberries, black currant, chalky with some chocolate. A little matured with smoother tannins than 2 years ago. Some animalic and leathery notes. Higher alcohol (14.5%).

October 6, 2022 - Solid but be patient for further development.

May 27, 2022 - Tasted again, this time from a bottle that had been opened and stoppered the day before and then kept in the refrigerator--and the wine had spent an additional hour in the glass. The result of this wine-abuse was a dramatically longer and richer aftertaste, without any loss in other areas. This suggests that if you have plenty of room in your cellar and plenty of other wines ready to drink, it would be worth giving this one another year or more of age in order to get it at its very best. But it's still very enjoyable right now, so if drinking now is more convenient you shouldn't hesitate.

May 25, 2022 - Very enjoyable Bordeaux from Cotes de Francs on the right bank. 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc. You really get the Merlot on the nose--meat notes, some strawberry and cherry too--deep in color. Drink now or hold. Under $25USD

April 24, 2022 - Cherries, chocolate, mint, and a faint touch of star anise, especially in the pleasant medium-length aftertaste. Very flexible with food. Really quite lovely for what it is. (Benefits from about 15 minutes in the glass. Also, tasted this from several different glasses--it was at its most enjoyable, but by only a small margin, from the Jancis Robinson glass.)
