April 20, 2024 - Coming together nicely, this has been drinkable but clumsy for the last two years, but is becoming a little more refined.

December 28, 2023 - Bought as an everyday wine, which it fits perfectly. Didn't decant which was correct. Lots of fruit, but well balanced on opening, becoming softer and earthier.
December 17, 2023 - Meh, too bloated.
December 10, 2023 - Blackberry and leather on the nose, smells smooth with a sligtkly bitter end. Chewy in the mouth with tight tannins, fruit is cherry and cassis. No sweetness and v dry.
October 29, 2023 - On nose: faint but complex, subtle notes of cigar tobacco, pencil shavings, cassis and a ghost of Asian spices.
On palate: all above notes focused, with the addition of coffee, bell pepper, ripe Damson plum, faint notes of leather and damp earth.....all on a full flavoured medium body, with soft tannins, and a civilized 13.5% alcohol level.....50% Cabernet Sauvignon here, no jammy notes.
Dense purple/ black with a scarlet edge in glass....
A meeting of Old and New world.....can age further.
October 11, 2023 - JBEI Annual Meeting.
Still fairly young (with limited air) from magnum. Solid Medoc nose and taste. Good structure, balanced with fruit. Could improve with 5 years in bottle.
July 1, 2023 - Au palais, fruits et tanins très discrets…surprenant pour un Médoc. On s’attend à plus d’expression. Payé 28$..et vaut 15$ selon Cellar Tracker….et j’abonde dans le même sens.
June 23, 2023 - Pleasant, but clumsy in comparison to the Cantemerle alongside. A wine to help keep your hands off the good stuff.
