November 16, 2019 - The wine was a deep garnet color. The legs were medium. There was moderate sediment in the bottle. Aromas and flavors matched the bottle's description fairly well. Took a while to decant to really come alive (~75 minutes). Once decanted, it was pretty good!

November 11, 2019 - Quite promising for Lanessan - deep cassis nose with savory accents; lamb, leather, and herb. This could develop quite well.

October 10, 2019 - Dense and a little unflattering. May be shutting down a bit.

October 5, 2019 - Nice fruit on the nose but it’s another “hollow” 2016.
    Where is the Bordeaux substance?
Yes there is some tannin to develop and it is obviously still young but there’s not enough oomph there to fill me with confidence for the future. Hoping I’m pleasantly surprised in a few years time when I open another one.

I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that 2015 was a far superior vintage to 2016 for Bordeaux.

September 21, 2019 - Medium/full bodied with a touch of oak, you also find black currant, cedar and tobacco notes. On the palate, the wine is round, juicy and fresh with a sweet, red fruit core of fruit from start to finish. There is some tannin giving this structure, so while it offers charm, it is going to need some cellaring before it hits its peak..
