May 26, 2019 - Decanted. Opens to big flavors once it opens. Berry on open and light tannins on the finish.

April 12, 2019 - CBCC opening dinner. Courtesy of Chris C.

A very rich, clearly modern styled Cab. Aromatic nose of nothing both crushed berries. Slightly unbalanced mid-palate with much more dominant acidity, and now some plum coming through. Finish is harsh and frankly a little tart.

December 23, 2018 - Aged in French Oak. Decanted for about 90 minutes. Very good, moderate tannins, excellent fruit. Left Bank style. Easily Dave Phinney’s better efforts. Would buy again. I think another year or two would lead to great things.

November 24, 2018 - Color of dark red. Scents of ripe raspberry and blackberry. Tastes consistent with scents, much riper and softer than I had expected, less tannic than I would have thought too.

November 9, 2018 - Plum Market Luxury Wine Tasting. Dark purple fruit - blackberry, black currants, and a little dark cherry. Really smooth mid-palate with a nice streak of depth/concentration, however, I believe this vintage needs some more time for the fruit to open-up/fan-out - although I'm sure a decent decant would have helped as well. Nice vibrant/rich flavors of dark berries and some spice. Fairly long finish. Apparently the bottles were open for a couple hours before serving. Enjoyable and approachable at this stage but I believe another year or so should be beneficial to let the fruit soften/open-up a little more. I believe the 95+ rating from WA makes sense with a little more time. Once again, 100% cab.
