May 19, 2019 - Wonderful nose of applewood smoke, violets, blackberries, and tar. Lifted, flowery, and elegant, almost perfumed despite the young age. Great energy and acidity nearly hides the tannin but some years will do for my tastes here. Some tar and black pepper shows up at the end but the fruit is fresh and youthful throughout.
