January 2, 2021 - Solid 2014 vintage. Very nice Napa cab. Deep inky purple in color. strong blackberry, mushroom, cedar on the nose. Lovely oak, cherry, black current on the palette. Very smooth cab with silky tannins, nice long finish. Full bodied and leaves you with a sweet taste mid way through the end.

November 15, 2020 - Very young in the bottle. Give it another year or two and pop another. Great acquisition at $30!

November 10, 2020 - Savory & a tad sweet, lacking the depth & earth but very good and would tear right through a fatty steak. This may rate higher in a few years.

October 19, 2020 - Deep opaque ruby with dark purple edges in the glass. Aromas of rich saddle leather, cigar box and Herbes de Provence. On the palate, a blast of black cherry, stewed plum, pomegranate and red currant flavors. Full-bodied, round and polished. Tannins are bold and grippy and the mineral-driven acidity adds depth and structure. The wine continues to unfold in complexity as it breathes but it was ready to drink almost immediately. The finish is dry and quite extended. Delicious.

*There was some gum-like sediment at the neck but it did not affect the flavor one bit.

August 26, 2017 - Brasswood - Vintner's Vanguard (Saint Helena): Not an ounce of depth to speak of. Totally watery, thin, and dead; no mid-palate; no attack; no finish; no nothing.
