February 26, 2023 - Opened with Ana’s superb dinner… this wine has evolved beautifully unlike other ‘14’s.

October 3, 2020 - Vibrant nose of blackberry, plum, graphite and hint of leather. Well integrated tannins. Ripe fruit. A little jammy, but not overly sweet. I didn’t have high expectations for this bottle, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Nice Paso Cabernet. Full bodied, long finish.
January 17, 2020 - I was surprised by this wine, it has some interesting notes, good balance and decent finish. I think it’s a good value.
January 16, 2020 - This has been gaining weight and complexity over the last year. Nose is peaking out a little more now. Still thickly muscled and tannic. Some cedar and graphite pushing out from behind previously dominant vanilla and leather. The balanced fruit quickly goes from fresh acidic brightness to rounded and more mature black fruits on the tongue. The acidity rushes back in as the fruits fade during a long finish and you are left with puckered cheeks and a lingering hint of stems and juniper berry.
August 15, 2019 - Last bottle -- continues to track in the right direction as it matures. Needed an 1.5 hours in the decanter to fully bloom and integrate. Still big flavors and body but getting much smoother and a glassy feel as it floats over the palate.
February 23, 2019 - Deep garnet with nice youthful cherry rim. Nose is a little closed but I get black berry, cassis, damp earth and olive notes. Medium body with good moutheel, but fairly simple flavor. Oak dominated pallet with vanilla, leather and cassis showing through. Finish is lingering and pleasant and very bright. The good news is the 14.5 percent alcohol is starting to integrate...
November 17, 2018 - Drank with Robert Doyle. Very good.
July 22, 2018 - Age is mellowing this wine. It is still a big warm weather cab with big body, bold flavors and high alcohol. More integrated and smoother this time. Heading in the right direction. Better second day as alcohol calms down with air.
