July 25, 2023 - A little tight upon opening. Vacuumed and left for a day,
Second day this wine softened and was more integrated . Tannins and fruit flavours showed good balance. Great acidity, an enticing sweetness. Good length. Typical dark fruit flavours. As approachable a wine as this is I am cellaring the rest of my bottles in anticipation of even a better wine down the road

July 22, 2022 - A beautiful drinking wine. It caresses the palate with great dark fruit flavour, moderate tannins' good sweetness and a good length. Right in my wheelhouse for maturity with more capability for those that are patient. Bitouzet is under rated as a producer of good reds.
Previous notes can be seen. If you have this wine ...enjoy!

May 31, 2022 - Drinking well! Medium red, good acidity, subtle sweetness, well balanced, good length, great flavours of dark fruit . The tannins are moderate and are evident on the back of the palate but are not harsh. This is a well made Beaune and a pleasure to drink now.

January 18, 2022 - Excellent wine, Medium/dark red in colour , good acidity, slight oak nose/dark fruit nose, good length, great flavours of dark fruit /dark cherries, subtle sweetness, tannins present on the back of the palate leaving slight dryness on the finish. Just at a great drinking window. In a few more years this will be even softer and more complex.

November 27, 2021 - Drinking well. I found the tannins to be overpowering the great fruit flavours so I let it rest in the bottle for a day.
The next day this tasted great. Balanced dark fruit flavours with an acceptable tannic core. Good length, slight fruit nose of black cherries, good acidity. a well made 1er Cru Beaune. Will age well.

October 24, 2021 - Very accessible pleasurable Beaune. Medium red, good acidity, ample dark fruit/ cherry flavours, medium length. Easy drinking wine now with enough tannin and fruit to improve over time. This is a very good wine but not outstanding.
Second day this was more fruit forward easier drinking.

    November 9, 2020 - Opened a second bottle of the 2015.
Medium red, good acidity, tannins evident but overwhelmed by massive dark fruit flavours that give this great length. There is no drying tannins at the back of the palate as in the previous bottle tasted .There is a great balance of flavours in this wine. Very approachable and fruit forward.

June 17, 2020 - I’m with pinot Pete. Earth driven, medium weight pinot with dark cherry fruit and good tannin structure. Loved it and should continue to age for 20 years

June 12, 2020 - Dark ruby with an expressive floral bouquet. Ripe cherries, fresh and steely, with a firm structure. Still a bit primary and angular, but providing some enjoyment. Should be better in a few years.
