September 30, 2023 - I so very much like Rameys chardonnays, and the crisp precision with which they make those seems present here. It’s just not what I’m after in a Napa Cab. The texture of this bottle seems a bit thin and I’m really struggling to pick up any classic Napa fruit. That’s not to say it tastes like a high acid wine either. It just kind of lacks vibrancy altogether. It’s well made, and some may very much enjoy this melded style, so it’s not receiving a poor rating.

August 20, 2023 - Needs air for a couple of hours to open up. By then it’s a pretty respectable mid-weight cab with mild tannins and pretty good length and complexity for the price.

April 17, 2023 - Good, solid Cab. Opened and poured. Tannins integrated. Smooth, medium finish. Can drink without food.

May 2, 2022 - One of the best Napa style Cabs I’ve had, especially for the $80 K&L sells it for. From the 1st sip, drinks like a $100 plus bottle.

December 17, 2021 - Not your typical cali cab. A bit hot with the alcohol, but overall nose and finish almost more like a southern rhone CNP. Needs decanting for a few hours. Not worth the price, but tasty with a good steak.

November 4, 2021 - Red currant and blackberry with some leather. Pleasant mouthfeel and good balance. Nice but not exceptional.

September 14, 2021 - Thats more black fruited and powerful. Fuller and more powerful. Not as fresh, more blockbuster, and to this palate, less interesting for it. The best of blend, always mountainside fruit. With the balance being Cabernet Franc. Bubblebee tuna guy owns the Cabernet Franc vineyard. 100% new oak. Needs time to this palate.
