September 1, 2018 - Wine was decanted and resulted in a fully balanced experience; nose was fruit forward but with perfect amount of earthiness; full-bodied mouthfeel with lasting finish; great with grilled halibut
July 8, 2018 - Inky dark purple in the decanter - absolutely gorgeous portend of what was to come. Floral bouquet with all berry on the palate. Fruit forward for the first hour, followed by a more structured, deeply complex taste throughout the 3 hours over which this was consumed.
Worked beautifully with a steak salad (filet mignon over baby spinach w/avocado and tomato) but really shone when paired with dark chocolate.
Round and lush mouth feel.
Definitely enough backbone to cellar a while longer, but no need as this wine is drinking beautifully right now!
May 17, 2018 - Sleek black ruby and nice red legs. Baking spices nose. Black and purple fruit in the mouth, coming across a little young and rugged today, but has oodles of fruit. 5-12-16-9: 92/100.
April 25, 2018 - Popped and poured. Great stuff. Absolutely opaque magenta-purple. Nice red legs. Rich, ripe nose. Lovely red and black berry fruit. Real depth here. Beautifully rendered in the mouth, this is special, and truly harmonious. This winery is a real favorite. For the quality in the bottle, the prices are very fair. Glad I discovered them before they hit it big and the prices rise to the stratosphere (tho I hope not). 5-14-17-9: 95/100.
April 2, 2018 - PnP. This is a totally hedonistic wine. Black raspberry color, with big red tears all over the glass. Lovely chocolatey fruit in the nose. Chocolate covered cherries. Creamy. Vanilla. In the mouth, sexy and voluptuous, completely feminine, rich, and plump. Hints of vanilla and cocoa. Hard to see how they get so much into one bottle of wine. Really amazingly extracted. I don't think it will taste so good on the last sip, but it is a real knockout right out of the gate. 5-13-17-9: 94/100.
January 5, 2018 - Drank over two days. Extra day mattered. Drank much less heavy and more approachable on day 2.
