    July 5, 2023 - Beautifully sublime!

Be prepared for the gorgeous bouquet that will greet you upon first arrival. Luscious and a highly developed nose that has all kind of depth and complexity - citrus, tobacco, red fruit (cherries), spice, lavender and mandarins. The body is super refined consisting of fine tannin, beautiful structure with great freshness. Wonderful long finish. A great match with spatchcock.

Drink now (with a good decant) to 10+ years.

February 6, 2023 - Opened 10 hours before dinner, decanted 1 hour before.
Nose is quite open on darker fruit than usual, with nice complexity on floral notes and spices mostly.
Structure is still on the austere side, very Rabaja-ish but still a surprise for this vintage which is mostly open now in the area. I would recommend to wait another year, but it surely is a great Barbaresco in this warmer vintage.

October 19, 2022 - Drank with dinner at Il Capricio in Waltham, MA. Waiter decanted and the wine did need decanting. Wonderful, pleasant Babaresco. Lots of gas left in this one.

November 29, 2021 - Nose: The nose is alluring, pure, and overall gorgeous after seeing air for the whole afternoon. This is open while favoring the primary side with red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, violets, crushed rocks, licorice, tobacco, thyme, wild flowers, perfumes, incense, and some morning dew.

Taste: The feel is full bodied with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The fruit of the vintage hides the youthfulness of the structure, though it doesn't overpower right now. The feel is plush and elegant with red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, violets, crushed rocks, thyme, wild flowers, licorice, and incense.

Overall: This is right at the beginning of its window. After about 6-8 hours of air, the floral and mineral qualities really take hold and kick this into another gear. There is a long way to go still, but it is bringing a whole lot of joy right now.
