July 10, 2023 - Not as animalistic as the previous bottle. Still on the thin side and I even found this a bit corky which blew off. Barnyard, game and time to drink up.
January 29, 2022 - Dirty and funky. Acidic and gamey after first hour, light in body too as mentioned in other notes. I like this, fun and cheap, day 2 less funk, showing more sleek since body is thin-esque , musky.
January 9, 2022 - Getting a bit thin but still enjoyable - it’s been fun to follow this over the years.
March 13, 2021 - Soaring after a filtered, decant pour.
April 3, 2020 - Cloudy medium ruby appearance, pronounced fruit forward nose of ripe cranberry, strawberry, vanilla, blueberry, blood. High acidity, medium(+) tannins. Clearly defined and precise - opposite of bandol. Easy drinking
September 4, 2019 - Garnet in color and semi-clear; A lot going on in the nose with aromas of cherry, cranberry, strawberry, spice (all spice), leather, and some earthiness (cedar?); Tastes of tart cranberry, cherry, strawberry, oak, and floral hints on the palate; medium body, medium(+) acidity, medium tannins; medium length on the finish. This was a great light red that was bright, tart, fresh, fruity, and funky. Nice acidity brings energy throughout.
September 4, 2019 - Wonderful, vibrant wine. So much fun to drink. Great funky aromatics. Still holding up well and good to go for a few more years.
May 7, 2019 - DNR wines are always very quaffable. Bright, fresh, fruity. Very Beaujolais Cru / Carbonic. Regardless of grape, site, vintage.
March 17, 2019 - Fresh and crunchy and a delight to drink. Great with corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s day. Beautiful green label.
February 27, 2019 - I love the Beaujolais Cru vibe here. So funky, fragrant, and high toned, and dramatically different than anything I’ve tasted before. This is bright, prickly, and energetic, with açaí, goji berry, hibiscus, and ruby red citrus pith notes that are flanked by peppery game, leather, and spices. Snappy acidity and loads of earthy funk drive everything home. Bitching label too.
