December 13, 2014 - Excellent wine, a little of the Cab Franc green right when opened but integrated nicely with a couple hours of air in the bottle. Deep red and black fruit, good acids, and robust tannins that suggest plenty of life left in this bottling. Ridiculous value at $22 auction. Great pair for dry aged filet tips and roasted cauliflower with cheese sauce.

October 8, 2013 - I did not have great expectations when opening given the CT rating and so opened mid week. After one nose I was sold. A beautifully crafted left bank Bdx style blend, which could be forgiven for confusing with a 2009 St Julien. Big nose of ripe black currant with classic cedar, cigar box undertones. The palate is equally impressive as the concentrated sweet black fruit gives way to layers of dried plums, menthol herbal flavours. A lively acidity gives this wine balance, poise and surprising length. Medium bodied. The tannins are noticeable, firm but fine grained still offering plenty of framework for further maturity. Sheridan is clearly a potentially top vineyard and in the hands of a top producer capable of great things. The vines I understand were only 9 years old making this wine even more notable. Very good.

August 31, 2013 - Amazing wine, starts mellow then opens into a mouth full of cherries, berries and plums. Smooth and deep.

April 13, 2012 - PNP. Got better with time. Red fruit, cedar, damp earth. Not sure it's going to get any better, buy holding well at this point. My last bottle, so I won't find out. Hard to complain at $21 on sale at the state monopoly store. If scoring 88-89.

February 8, 2012 - Medium to full body. Nice cherry core with a bit of dried leaves. Moderate tannins and decent finish. Better than the last bottle I had.
