July 15, 2017 - Earth, sweet cassis, pure fruit….not fair as this was had next to 61 lafon rochet….but in and of itself this is unreal! Very youthful…..
Palate has pure fruit, menthol, pure red fruit, dark cherry, earth, moss, tobacco, cassis……pretty
Finish is not as expansive or full as 61 lafon rochet but still…very pretty. 93+pts ..pushing 94pts

March 26, 2017 - Amazing true Vin de Gaurd. Opened and decanted the magnum an our before serving time. Had a small glass on opening. still vibrant colour on the edge with dark core. Glorious flavour. Still alive at 55 stunning.

December 24, 2013 - Opened the bottle at 2, recorked until 6, serve in glass at 7 and start drinking at 8 till 9:00
For a 52 year old bottle, was outstanding.

November 28, 2010 - Finally got a chance to drink Birgitta's birthday wine (months later). Popped the cork (in good condition) 6 hrs. in advance. Had a sniff and a tiny taste - nice smells and tastes; clean cork back in. Re-opened an hour before dinner. In the glass - deep garnet with less bricking than I was expecting. Terrific nose of leather, chocolate, a bit of caramel and Graves smoke. Still vibrant on the palate, with acid to balance the velvety softness. Got better and better over 1 1/2 hrs. Really nice!
