  October 24, 2007 - Lot's of earth, gravel and leather on the nose made me expect an austere and heavily structured palette, but instead found nice cherry skins, a little tobacco and nicely integrated support. Great variety of character from beginning to the long finish.

  September 29, 2007 - Tasted over ten Brunello's at Enoteca la Fortezza in the town of Montalcino. This was my favorite perhaps because it was the most unique. Strong tobacco and leather aroma, with black cherry, cedar, and earth. A bit short on the finish but well balanced acid and tannins as expected from a Brunello.

  November 11, 2004 - Medium ruby red. Pepper, spice, barnyard, citrus rind, and cherry on the nose. Medium-bodied, a bit green, with cherry and earth. Short finish, ~20s, with wood, stems, and earth.
