August 3, 2019 - 20 minutes after uncorking, an explosion of flavours. Fantastic

July 24, 2019 - Needed one hour to open up. Not a very elegant nose but fully open and mature now. A blt heat and VA, also oak and wet iron. Not the elegant rose and tar of some more traditional producers. When I first blindtasted this among other modernists 10-12 years ago, this was one of the better ones. In the meantime, we have all rediscovered the traditional producers and unfortunately Scavino was very modern at this time. He has changed a few times. In 1990 this wine was amazing and I bet it will be good again in recent vintages, the terroir should warrant this.

March 31, 2019 - DBYOB The revenge of the final Titan (Farsta): Tasted double blind.

Very fine, fruit driven modern style - milk chocolate. Recommended.

February 24, 2019 - Decanted 1 hour. Age is showing in the color. Very ripe, almost roasted on the nose. Concentrated, with plenty of fruit, but also a lot of oak and tannin. Improves over time, but a bit too over the top for me. A-

January 12, 2019 - Peter's BDay (Bistro Na Pasadena): The VA on the nose to start was off-putting. Ignored this for 2 hours and it improved a bit, but still not entirely enjoyable to my palate. Extremely modern in style: nail-polish remover with high toned strawberry and balsamic, and then loads of wood. Super-ripe and extracted, but dominated by wood. Not sure I see this improving.
