October 2, 2022 - 2019 release. Not as nice as some prior bottles I remembered. Maybe it was the food it was with (Sichuan noodles).

September 16, 2022 - Medium bubbles. Color is pale pink. Brioche, warm apples and some salinity on the nose. Apples, lemon and a little bit of lightly burnt sugar or molasses. Dry, zesty. Short finish.

September 4, 2022 - For $20 this is a no brainer. Other notes have covered it pretty well, very tart, notes of crisp pear and honeydew, dry finish, the quality is there. IMO this is better than Vueve which I had a few a weeks ago, and less than half the price.

August 19, 2022 - Very simple. Lemon on the nose, very light mouthfeel, slightly sour finish. For the price point, I'd buy a Cremant d'Alsace or a cava.

August 12, 2022 - 12% alcohol; imported by DC Flynt MW Domaines & Estates, Lake Charles, Louisiana; produced & bottled by Maison Manuel Janisson, Verzenay, in the Champagne region of France; Googlemaps shows the winery to be 'permanently closed' (Verzenay is about 8 km SE of of the Reims cathedral and 85 km from the Belgian border); according to the label, the champagne is made from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; sturdy wire cage, composite cork with a soft aroma of Granny Smith apples; good pressure with a resounding pop, lots of medium-size bubbles; fast legs, pale gold, still plentiful bubbles 15 minutes after pouring in a champagne flute; nose of apples, especially Granny Smiths, trace of caramel; tasted about 20 minutes after pouring, at 18 degrees C; full bodied, rich structure of apples, a little brown sugar mixed in, tartness and sweetness vying with each other; the balance carries over to the long finish; downright refreshing on a hot South Florida summer afternoon, celebrating our 2021 income tax refund
