September 18, 2022 - Beautiful notes of cherry and allspice and conifer. Medium bodied, starting to show a tiny bit of Amber on the edge. Drinking very well now, suggest consuming final bottle in the next few years.

August 11, 2022 - Dried fruit nose. Big raisin and prune flavors with touches of anise and hints of a chocolate orange on the finish. Mild tannin, low acid, quite sweet and lingering with oak notes and fine tannins.

September 29, 2020 - This is quite good, and seems to be at peak drinking, though with no real sign of decline. Very dark garnet, with a bit of browning at the rim. Attractive vanilla and red fruits in the nose. Some orange and anise notes. Tannins mostly resolved, fairly ripe and rich, even sweetish, but nowhere near over the top. Mellow finish. Drink now. 4-13-17-8: 92/100.

July 3, 2020 - I was a bit surprised. I expected this to be over the hill. It had lots of vigor left to it. The nose and palate were so dominant with black licorice it. Some black currant in there too. Wine has a nice mouth feel to it. Long finish. Very enjoyable.

September 16, 2019 - Still in an ideal place. No bricking, deep purple. Harsh tannins are gone; full range of flavor is present. Grenache and Shiraz are evident... another grape brings a somewhat tart, fruit undertone. Very fine wine
