November 28, 2022 - This is clearly nice wine with an intense and intriguing nose. There is a bit of prickle on the front end with substantial deep, dark fruit and expected pepper notes. Not quite as lovely as my recollection of a previous vintage, and maybe leaning a touch out of my taste, but still pleasing; for me 90-91 but could see others enjoying more.

February 13, 2022 - Just starting to show some garnet although no appreciable tertiaries appear on the pallet. Medium intensity nose of black cherry and violet.
Dry, medium plus acidity, medium tannin, full body and high alcohol.
Medium plus intensity black cherry, pepper and chocolate notes accompany a bit of coconut.
Nicely balanced with a longish finish resulting in an outstanding rating.

    September 17, 2021 - PnD let air for 2hrs.

Consistent with previous note. Great mouthfeel. Cherry plum tar and sage on nose and palate. Ripe with great balance and finish. In a great place and can easily go five more years.

September 28, 2020 - Over 2 days. After an hour open (not decanted) it was disjointed, out of balance, and not nice. It improved over the next while but was better day 2 and a quite enjoyable. Blackberries, tabac, violets and lengthy finish. Needs air.

September 12, 2020 - Drank over 2 days. Medium to deep purple/ruby in the glass. Aromas of blueberries, blackberries Abound (like you’re standing in the middle of a patch hanging with ripe fruit), restrained wet gravel with hints of Violets, and dried herbs. Flavours include these plus a hint of pepper, leather and chocolate? Wine is mouth watering with strong tannins (on day one) medium (on day 2). High alcohol (14.7%), so a bit “hot”. Long lingering finish - full-bodied, complex and layered. LVP knows how to make wine!!! (And I always enjoy drinking the fruits of their labour 😋)
