November 29, 2023 - Small x3 Vintage Port Tasting: Clearly aged but still with some sweetness and plum fruit. It almost has an exotic fruit touch and it is certainly special without being "strange".
Lovely flavors of caramel and leather but also an intense acidity. Lovely flavors that carries through the medium-length aftertaste.+

August 9, 2023 - I had not had this before and I am not a port aficionado, but this was delightful. Candied raisins and Christmas cake were a lovely counterpoint to walnut, pecan notes and even a hint of cedar.

January 13, 2019 - From a bottle with mid shoulder fill from a leaky cork. Cork totally disintegrated upon attempting to open. Heavy sediment as expected. Most amazing colour that is a cross between mohogany, orange pekoe tea and pale red rose petals. Very clear. Nose is slightly spirity with raisins, red rooibos tea, burnt toffee and macerated candied citrus peel. The entry is ethereal. So light footed and elegant. So effortless! Same basic melange of flavours on the palate as on the nose with the candied peel dominating together with a slight piney note. Quite sweet but it is well balanced by the acidity that keeps it from being cloying. Finish is warming (not at all hot), clean, quite persistent and quite delicious! I'm so glad this survived the leakage!

December 28, 2013 - decanted using Hersh method. very pale rose in colour with brown rim. Distinct nuttiness on nose and palate with beautiful silkiness in the mouth.
Awesome - great way to celebrate a 50th birthday.
